eCommerce Solution for Car Parts Renewal Service Provider

Improving the user experience with modern digital tech

Client

MyAirbags is a B2C company based in the Atlanta area which offers original car parts repair services. Their IPC-certified technicians provide low-cost post-collision airbag resets and repairs, instrument cluster repairs, and seat belt repair services.

With the growing competition, MyAirbags faced the need to replace their existing website, powered by Wordpress/WooCommerce, with a more reliable eCommerce solution. The business goals were to expand the client base and simplify online order management.

Solution

The implemented solution supports the order management process: from order placement through payment to order status check. It also organizes the product catalog, keeps track of all past orders, and provides analytics on the most popular products and services. The solution was integrated with PayPal and the banking card payment system to enable fast and secure online payments.

To help our client stand out from their competition, we took several search engine optimization measures, applied extended markup, and integrated marketing services such as Google Ads, Google Merchant, Facebook Ads, Yotpo to provide new digital marketing opportunities and reach wider audiences online.

We aimed at forming a cross-functional team and involved experts in UI/UX Design, Frontend Development (HTML/CSS), DevOps, PHP/1C-Bitrix Mobile Development at different stages of the project. Soon, the mobile applications for Android and iOS will go into production.

Challenge

During the migration from WP/WooCommerce to 1C-Bitrix the AIS team focused on retaining all functionality, namely:

  • Synchronization with the internal CRM
  • Integration of the existing payment systems
  • Preservation of order history and analytics

The old database structure was not customized for the needs of online commerce which led to chaotic data storage. We had to scrutinize the data mapping process and leverage additional QA procedures to make sure all order history and client-related information was migrated correctly.
